A makeup artist who’s missing some of her upper teeth has wowed her fans with her incredible “catfish” makeover and has even been compared to Mariah Carey.

Edmonton’s Sarah Andres, known on TikTok as @lashesandlosing, recently shared a video for her 747,700 fans showing her transformed in her home makeup studio.

Suddenly every visible pore disappeared from the skin of the self-taught makeup artist in the footage – and she changed from her animal print dressing gown and casual ponytail to a more elegant outfit – a soft dress with a plunging neckline, its curls styled exactly like Mariah Carey’s.

Fans were quick to point out her uncanny resemblance to the award-winning singer. While it’s not clear if this was Sarah’s intention, the talented TikToker welcomed the comparison in the comments.

However, some followers weren’t so kind as they warned, ‘Isn’t that scary guys?’ You never know.’

The video, which shows her resemblance to the Always Be My Baby singer, was inundated with dozens of comments praising the beauty influencer, who lost two of her upper front teeth in a quad-biking accident.

Some asked Sarah for a full makeup tutorial, and others described her transformation as “amazing.”

She was proud of her talent and wasn’t afraid to acknowledge her shocking transformation. She even went so far as to call herself “#Catfish” for her 747.7K fans to see.

But although the self-taught makeup artist has amassed a whopping 8.4 million likes on the social media platform, not all comments have been positive.

Some were skeptical that makeup was her only help, and one viewer claimed the TikTok sensation uses “a filter to cover her nasolabial folds.”

Another, apparently a man, criticized the Canadian, saying: “Until you wake up next to them in the morning.”

But many defended the influencer, assuring her that “haters are jealous.”

And while her fans were mesmerized, they weren’t happy with the short video, which lasted just 12 seconds – instead, they urged Sarah to release a full makeup tutorial so her fans can emulate the gorgeous singer, too.

The TikToker, who hails from Edmonton in eastern Canada, often wows her fans with her makeup transformations, using before and after pictures to show the very clear difference that can be made through the power of makeup.
