Prince Harry’s one-year-old daughter Lilibet has inherited his red locks, a new interview has confirmed.
In a profile posted by Lilibet’s mother Meghan Markle, the couple’s second child appears with her nanny and is described as “small and also red” – after her father and three-year-old brother Archie.
For an interview with The Cut, the Duchess of Sussex gave a glimpse into her daily life and opened up her home to the magazine.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (pictured with Archie and Lilibet in December 2021) shared a glimpse into their daily lives in Montecito, California
Towards the end of the day, Lilibet showed up with her nanny and was “not smiling with alert bright blue eyes” before her father Harry, 37, started beatboxing to cheer her up and the family danced along.
The couple’s daughter, who was born in June 2021, first met many of her royal relatives, including the Queen, in June this year when the Duke and Duchess returned to the UK for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The interview followed Meghan, 41, on a typical day in her life – including the school run for Archie, who attends pre-school.
She told the magazine how she teaches her eldest son the importance of saying “please” and “thank you.”
‘We always tell him: ‘Manners make the man. Manners, manners, manners, manners, manners.’ said Megan.
While Lilibet bears a striking resemblance to her father, the interview notes how differently Prince Harry’s life has changed since moving to their new home in Montecito, California.

From visiting her friend Victoria Jackson to fix her sprinkler to throwing birthday parties for Archie’s classmates, his everyday life seems worlds apart from his old life as a senior member of the royal family.
The couple also revealed how they run their Archewell Foundation from their home office, often working side by side.
Visit of Harry and Meghan in Great Britain and Germany
- Monday, September 5th: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will travel to Manchester for the One Young World Summit, an event bringing together young leaders from more than 190 countries
- Tuesday, September 6th: Harry and Meghan will travel to Germany for the Invictus Games Düsseldorf 2023 One Year to Go
- Thursday, September 8th: The Sussexes then return to the UK for the WellChild Awards in London
Harry said, “Most of the people I know and many of my family can’t work and live together.”
But he added that it feels “natural and normal” to him.
As part of their charity work, Harry and Meghan will visit the UK and Germany next month – but they are unlikely to extend their trip to see the Queen, according to a royal expert.
Phil Dampier today told MailOnline that he would be “very surprised” if the Sussexes visit the Queen at Balmoral, where she is likely to stay for the next few weeks amid growing concerns over her mobility issues.
He added that there was little “goodwill” on either side and that the royals would be “cautious” about Harry given what his book might say. Mr Dampier also said that a “visit to Scotland would create uncomfortable family tensions for everyone”.
Mr Dampier also warned that “the divide in the family is getting worse, not better”.
Elsewhere in the interview, Meghan told The Cut – which is part of New Yorker magazine – that she and Harry didn’t want to “reinvent the wheel” when they bid for financial freedom before eventually deciding to resign prematurely as senior members of the royal family to resign 2020.
The interview reported that 41-year-old Meghan listed a “handful of princes and princesses and dukes who have exactly the arrangement they wanted,” although none of these royals are named in the article.
