Inventive tourist uses VERY cunning trick to dodge Ryanair baggage fares
Two German tourists traveling through Europe have found a creative way to free themselves from Ryanair’s often expensive baggage fees – while enjoying a comfortable flight.
TikTokers Madeleine and Sophia, who post as @roadbunnies and describing themselves as “Just two girls who go on road trips in a red Skoda Fabia,” shared a clip on the social media site of them using a pillowcase as a makeshift suitcase.
The Irish carrier charges for hand luggage larger than a small bag, meaning the low-cost airline’s ‘cheap fares’ can soon add up – and passengers often come up with imaginative ways to avoid the cost.
The TikTok clip, which now has nearly 8.8 million views, shows one of the roadbunnies with a comfy-looking pillowcase at the airport.
But at the end of the clip – which features the words “Nobody’s gonna know” and “They’re gonna know” in the background – the Traveler reveals that she actually stuffed clothes into the pillowcase.
In a hotel room, she is filmed pulling her stash of clothes out of the pillowcase.
A subtitle’“If you have booked flights with Ryanair” runs across the video… and the @roadbunnies added ““Thank you later” and a fire emoji.

A nervous @roadbunnies then asked, “Are we still friends?”
However, Ryanair’s TikTok team apparently discovered the hack and posted a cryptic comment: “Beast PLEASEEEEE what is this?”
Others shared their tricks, one of them saying she puts her luggage in a duty free bag because airport staff never question purchases.
Budget travelers have long been inventive when it comes to avoiding baggage fees, for example by wearing multiple layers to get on board without carrying an extra bag.
