Ioan Gruffudd’s ex-wife Alice Evans vows to “speak my truth” in an Instagram post amid a bitter legal battle with the actor over their daughters

Ioan Gruffudd’s ex-wife Alice Evans today vowed to “speak her truth” amid a bitter court battle with the actor over their daughters.

The feuding Hollywood stars are engaged in a bitter battle over custody of their young children Ella and Elsie after Gruffudd left his then-wife Evans in 2021 after 14 years of marriage.

In August, a Los Angeles judge granted the “Fantastic Four” actor’s request to appoint a child psychiatrist to oversee the increasingly bitter battles over the two girls, ages 13 and 9.

“102 Dalmatians” star Evans had vehemently opposed the move, claiming it was unnecessary and that Gruffudd hadn’t seen or called his daughters in almost three months.

In an Instagram post today showing Elsie playing in the swimming pool, Evans vowed to “tell her the truth.”

She wrote: “I’m posting this moment of joy (that I share with my children every day) because I’m about to speak my truth about the harassment I’ve been subjected to for two years. “I can’t sit here all the time to be insulted and lied to.”

The couple divorced earlier this year, but issues of spousal support, child support and custody remain to be resolved.

Evans has denied all of her ex’s “abuse allegations.”

In a statement to the court, Gruffudd described Evans’ recent comments against the expert and criticism of her ex as “false or grossly misleading.”

He said: “The circumstances with our daughters Ella and Elsie and my relationship with them are not as Alice describes.”

“Alice has stated in her own words in several social media posts that I have been trying to gain at least 50/50 custody of Ella and Elsie and that she does not want this and/or is actively working to prevent it .”

“I believe it is imperative that a special expert be appointed at the hearing on August 17 to avoid further and potentially significant delays in commencing this important process.”

Gruffudd pointed out that although “Alice argues that a custody review is not necessary,” the girls’ court-appointed attorney and their most recent therapist both support the appointment of an evaluator.

And he added that the therapist wrote: “I think it would be in the best interests of your daughters for Elsie to continue psychotherapy with me and for Ella to be evaluated by a child psychiatrist.”

Gruffudd expressed concern that Evans took Elsie out of a school where she had been since kindergarten and moved her to a new school, defying a court order that said she could not keep the children’s school without her can change his consent. “I didn’t agree,” he said.

Gruffudd spoke again about the “severe emotional damage” he believes Evans is causing her daughters, continuing: “Alice regularly insulted, insulted and threatened me during our marriage and after the separation, often in the presence of Ella and/or Elsie.”

“Alice told me, among other things, that she had been unwell for years and wanted a divorce, she attacked my looks and my career, threatened me to call the police and told Ella that she would soon have a new father…

“I believe that it was unhealthy and distressing for the girls to witness this behavior and I believe that Alice’s behavior was abusive not only to me but to the girls as well.”

Gruffudd – now with 31-year-old girlfriend Bianca Wallace – recounted an incident on Ella’s 11th birthday when “Elsie sent me a video of Ella arguing with Alice.” Ella said she was upset because Alice had broken her promise not to drink alcohol and begged Alice to stop bringing me up in every conversation.

“Alice screamed at Ella and called her a ‘fucking bitch’ and Ella screamed at Alice, ‘Just be a mother!’

He added: “(Alice) has made thousands of derogatory, abusive and threatening posts about me since our separation.”
