Forspoken, the upcoming RPG from Square Enix and Luminous Productions, is set for release next year on January 24th, 2023. A brand new trailer for the game was released during The Game Awards 2022 along with the first playable demo.
The new trailer gave players a deeper look into the Rift, a powerful force that corrupts everything it touches, including the denizens of Athia. The new demo gave players a first try at combat and parkour mechanics before launching Forspoken.
The game was first announced during Sony’s PlayStation 5 showcase event, but eager fans are probably wondering if the game is going to Xbox.
The breach has corrupted Athia’s living creatures into twisted and insane versions of themselves.

Forspoken is currently in development for PlayStation 5 and PC. At the time of writing, neither Square Enix nor Luminous Productions have announced a release for Xbox consoles.
The game is listed as exclusive to the PlayStation console, although its exclusivity period ends two years after Forspoken’s release. While this doesn’t guarantee the game will find a home on other platforms, the possibility of an Xbox release will exist in 2025.
In the meantime, PlayStation and PC players can pre-order the game ahead of its January release.
