With summer over, Fortnite players look forward to the next seasonal celebration – but will Fortnitemares return in 2022?
Fortnite has no shortage of spooky Halloween-inspired outfits and cosmetics for players to get their hands on, and what better time to celebrate them than fall. Usually taking place in October, many fans are waiting to see if Fortnitemares 2022 will return as we approach the Halloween season.
Last year, players were able to grab two outfits from the Universal Monsters Set – Frankenstein’s Monster and The Mummy. As the weeks progressed, more characters and outfits made their debuts in the Item Shop, including The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes, space traveler Ariana Grande, and more.
So can we expect the same celebrations to take place this year?
According to well-known Fortnite leaker HYPEX On Twitter, Epic Games have already started preparing for the event in Save the World, which means that there is a very high probability that Battle Royale will also happen.
Epic Games has not yet officially confirmed that Fortnitemares will return. Given the event’s popularity and the fact that Fortnite loves to run limited-time events, there’s a good chance we’ll see it again in battle royale next month.
