Is Overwatch coming to Nintendo Switch?

Is Overwatch coming to Nintendo Switch? That’s a question that many Blizzard and Nintendo fans are interested in.
The Nintendo Switch has had some very successful years in the market, selling incredibly well and getting a lot of third-party support. Blizzard has only just started supporting this console, but many are wondering if one of Blizzard’s most popular IPs will make an appearance on the portable console.
The Switch has seen a few ports of popular games, most notably Fortnite Battle Royale, which arrived on the console over the summer. Still not known for multiplayer shooters, Overwatch has been rumored to be porting to the Nintendo Switch for years. Blizzard has mostly quashed those rumors, but with the release of Diablo III on the Switch, there’s hope for many that there could potentially be an Overwatch port.

A lot of the issues with porting to the Switch have to do with the relative lack of performance compared to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, in a recent interview with Gamespot, Stilwell said: “Everything is within the realm of possibility. Our team has been assigned to work on it. if [Overwatch developer] Team 4 takes on this endeavor, it’s up to them. Right now, Diablo is our only focus on Switch.”
He opened the door to that possibility and left the decision up to the Overwatch team. This leaves the game in limbo where it could be made but is not currently in production. Anyone who wants to play Overwatch on the go will just have to wait longer.
