Is there a Valorant April Fool’s Day joke for 2023?
Wondering if Valorant will get an April Fool’s joke in 2023? Here’s what we know so far.
In general, Riot Games enjoys pranking their player base across all games when April Fool’s Day returns, which has been seen in League of Legends for many years.
Riot made a completely fake patch note for Valorant in 2021 during April Fool’s Day and created an entire game mode called Widejoy in 2022. This game mode name comes from a meme surrounding a bug in the game that caused Killjoy’s player card to appear distorted when loading into a game. So Riot finally brought the meme back on April 1st last year, and players enjoyed a fun new game mode to celebrate the day.
With something April Fools Day rolling out in Valorant over the past few years, players are wondering what kind of joke Riot has planned for 2023.
Widejoy will return either in the next Battle Pass that is coming soon or in a bundle (most likely Battle Pass).

As of now, there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding Valorant’s 2023 April Fool’s Day prank. While there’s still a little over a week to go until April Fool’s Day, it’s safe to assume that Riot is planning some kind of prank for it.
If there’s an April Fool’s Day announcement, it’s likely to happen early next week.
