Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has shared an insight into her unusual diet after she lost a whopping 12kg in three months.
The 48-year-old radio host revealed on Thursday on The Kyle and Jackie O Show that she regularly skips breakfast, a practice known as intermittent fasting.
She also avoids carbs and satisfies her hunger throughout the day by snacking on pre-cut steaks.
“I cook steak and slice it, and then I just eat a small piece of steak when I’m hungry,” she told her co-host Kyle Sandilands.
Jackie, an ambassador for weight-loss program WW, refuses to binge on high-calorie foods for lunch, opting for just “three small cutlets of steak” and some Vietnamese rice paper rolls with fish and cabbage.
Shocked by her small portion size, Kyle told her, “A dog would eat more!”
For dinner, Jackie typically eats vegetables and a protein like chicken or red meat.
Between meals, Jackie indulges in smoothies and Starbucks Frappuccinos, a type of iced coffee mix.
The mother of a child has not always followed such a restrictive diet.

In February, she told Woman’s Day that before she took control of her health, she ate pizza, sausage rolls and microwave food from the gas station.
“I ate a lot of food that I could get in a hurry. You know, pizza and sandwiches and takeout only, I didn’t cook myself,” she said.
“And I think it’s always best to know what you’re putting into your body. I just got lazy.”

Jackie took several weeks off from her radio show in November to focus on her health and recovering from the ongoing effects of Covid-19.
During her break she took up tennis and aqua aerobics. Her daily routine also includes half-hour sessions on the treadmill in the gym.
She also enrolled in the WW program a second time after gaining the weight she lost when she first joined the program.

“You’re probably thinking, ‘Damn, she’s the worst ambassador ever,'” Jackie said, laughing.
When she returned to work in January, the KIIS FM host looked noticeably slimmer.
Jackie began her weight loss journey in June 2021 after signing with WW, formerly known as Weight Watchers.
