James Haskell enjoyed a night out with his baby daughter Bodhi on Saturday evening, just hours after his split from his TV personality wife Chloe Madeley was confirmed.
The former Wasps and England flanker watched South Africa narrowly beat New Zealand 12-11 in the Rugby World Cup final, shortly after the former couple issued a joint statement announcing the end of their five-year marriage.
On Instagram, Haskell, 38, shared photos of himself and 14-month-old Bodhi – her only child – settling in front of the television before the historic game.
The retired rugby player later posted a short video of his daughter in her dressing gown getting ready for bed.
In a joint statement released Saturday, Haskell and Madeley, 36, said they had “mutually decided to separate” and remained focused on co-parenting their 14-month-old child.

Family: Chloe Madeley, 36, and her husband James Haskell, 38, went out to lunch with their daughter Bodhi on Saturday, just hours before they announced their split
On the same day, he shared a photo of his wife planting a kiss on Bodhi’s head. Other photos showed the little one sitting at the table, dressed in a cute Disney sweater and matching sweatpants.
The couple, who married in 2018, fueled speculation about their relationship after Madeley appeared without her wedding ring while partying with friends – shortly after James was pictured chatting to a mystery blonde outside a London nightspot.
Since then, both have been seen without rings several times.
In a joint update on Instagram, they announced: “Chloe and I have jointly decided to separate at the end of September 2023.”
“We had no intention of releasing a statement at this time – especially not while the television program was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage unfortunately forced us to do so.”
She added: “Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking publicly about this matter and ask for privacy at this time.”
“Our only focus now is our beautiful daughter. “We will continue to co-parent with nothing but love.”
Haskell shared his own statement on Instagram, adding: “It is with great sadness that I write this post, but unfortunately in the world we live in it must be done.”

“My priority is the happiness and safety of my daughter and Chloe. “For this reason, I will not be commenting further.”
A source told MailOnline: “James Haskell is still living at the family home in London, he returned on Monday and was still there yesterday morning.”
A friend of the couple added: “It’s all so strange and it all seems quite strange to me that Chloe has done a number of interviews and spoken very openly about her life and marriage but she has failed to say that she and James separated despite herself. “A television show is all about her family life.”
MailOnline has contacted representatives for Chloe and James for further comment.
Chloe appeared without her wedding ring while partying with friends in October – shortly after James was seen chatting to a mystery blonde outside a London nightspot.
The woman was later revealed to be PR director Martine Bridge, a close friend of the former rugby star with connections to the upper echelons of London high society.
Days later, he was seen without his wedding ring while walking with his young daughter Bodhi – the couple’s only child – near their family home.
In recent scenes from their new reality show, he was left to bear the brunt of Chloe’s frustration after flying to Ibiza for a DJ gig – where he partied with a troupe of bikini dancers.
As James documented the job on social media, he was surrounded by scantily clad women – leaving his wife, who was back in the UK, less than impressed.

Not happy: In recent scenes from their new show he had to bear the brunt of Chloe’s frustration after jetting off to Ibiza – where he partied with a troupe of bikini dancers
After discovering the pictures, she raged: “He’s on Instagram and he’s uploading videos and photos of all these girls and I was like, ‘I’m going to kill you.’ “I’m going to fly to Ibiza and kill you.”
“He’s been posting videos of him with a lot of girls in thongs because he thinks it makes him look cool on social media.” I feel like you suck and you make me look like shit. Stop doing that.’
However, she admitted, “But he loves it.” Honestly, at least he’s having fun. You know what I mean.’
Chloe was at home looking after her 14-month-old daughter Bodhi while James DJed in Ibiza, something he has done since retiring from professional rugby.
