Jamie Carragher blindly lists his top five Liverpool forwards of all-time while Mo Salah is just THIRD on his list… but which Reds icons are ahead of the Egyptian star?
- Carragher has been challenged by Gary Neville to rank his top five Liverpool forwards
- The leaderboard was drawn up blindly, so he didn’t know who came out next from the options
- The former Liverpool defender placed Mohamed Salah in third behind two icons
Jamie Carragher has blind-ranked his top five Liverpool strikers, with Mohamed Salah just third on the list behind two icons.
The pundit sat alongside Gary Neville as the latter was put to the test, with the former Man United defender urging his colleague on to put Liverpool forward, unaware of who is next.
This popular trend left Carragher unable to reverse his decision and not knowing who would be next on the leaderboard for him.
Many Liverpool fans would have chosen Salah as their first choice as the Egyptian has already shown his class this year.
However, Carragher had Salah in the middle of the picks, with two icons in front of him.

Mohamed Salah was only third on the list behind two Liverpool icons
The first name Neville gave was that of Liverpool legend Ian Rush.
Carragher quickly placed Rush at the top of his list, a bold move in the blind leaderboard game.
Next was former Liverpool star Sadio Mane, who made the move to the Saudi Pro League this summer.
Carragher opted to place Mane fourth, a decision he would later regret.
With second, third and fifth places still open for Carragher, he was asked to add Kenny Dalglish to his list.
This led to Neville saying, “Now he’s in trouble.”

Gary Neville joked that Carragher was in trouble when asked to grade Kenny Dalglish

Dalglish mentored Carragher during his time at Liverpool and came second on his list
To which Carragher replied: “I thought it was just forwards, goalscorers!”
The former Liverpool defender then confidently put his old manager Dalglish second on the list.
Next up was a former Carragher teammate, Fernando Torres.
Despite playing together, Carragher brutally placed him in fifth place, behind Mane and Co.
Eventually Salah had to move up to third place as he pondered his placement at the end of the video.
“I misunderstood Dalglish and Rush,” he said.
Neville then asked Carragher, “Would you pair Salah with Rush?” to which the former Red disagreed.
“Right behind him,” he said before considering his list. “I probably got one out.”

Neville has also been tasked with compiling a ranking of former Manchester United defenders
It was later Neville’s turn to rate ex-Man United players as he was tasked with adding defenders to his blinds rankings.
The former full-back had Japp Stam in first place, followed by Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic in second and third.
Steve Bruce was fourth before Laurent Blanc finished his blinds in last place.
Neville and Carragher would undoubtedly have finished differently if they hadn’t gone so blind, but that’s the fun of the game.
