January 5 Update for Overwatch 2: Full patch notes listed

A brand new patch has arrived in Overwatch 2 to ring in the new year. Here’s everything that’s been added and changed in this latest update.

There’s a lot of content being thrown around in Overwatch 2 right now, including the new Battle for Olympus event. Based on gods and monsters from Greek mythology, this new event will give seven heroes a unique Divine Power and style overhaul in this new LTM.

Of course, that’s not all. Many hero updates and competitive changes have been made in this patch. Below we have listed everything you need to know.

Battle for Olympus

In this free-for-all deathmatch mode, players must fight for the throne of Olympus as seven powerful gods and monsters from Greek mythology, each with a unique divine power that kicks in when they use their ultimate ability. Battle for Mount Olympus winners have a chance to earn limited-time voicemails and player titles.

At the end of the event, the hero whose powers were used to get the most eliminations across all games will be crowned the new ruler of Olympus.
