Jason Roy’s place in the England squad is in doubt due to a lack of form… he could be left out of the touring party heading to Pakistan and possibly fail to secure a spot on the team for the Twenty20 World Cup
- Jason Roy could be left over from the England squad touring Pakistan this month
- Fears Roy’s dip in form could also cost him a spot at the Twenty20 World Cup
- Squads for tours of Pakistan and Australia will be named on Thursday
Jason Roy’s drastic drop in form could cost him a place in what is expected to be severely depleted England squad touring Pakistan later this month.
Roy has been a mainstay of the setup under Eoin Morgan since the start of the 2015 revolution, but he could also miss out on a place in the Twenty20 World Cup.
A squad for the seven-game tour of Pakistan and the group of 15 heading to Australia in October will be named tomorrow.

Roy, 32, has struggled throughout 2022, notching just 78 runs in six Twenty20 internationals this summer.
The selectors are also considering resting multi-format players Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow for the trip to Pakistan.
Moeen Ali is likely to lead the first England tour to Pakistan in 17 years while captain Jos Buttler is currently sidelined with a calf injury.
