The actor son of Jaws star Richard Dreyfuss has sparked fury among his Twitter followers when he announced he would never date or sleep with a “fat person”.

Dreyfuss, a writer and self-proclaimed comedian, made the comments in a January 18 thread.

Springboard from an independent article titled “You need help: You fat-shamed your beautiful girlfriend,” Dreyfuss, 36, began his “schtick.”

,That’s rude! I’ve never dated a fat person!’ he explained before starting a multi-tweet thread on the subject.

Dreyfuss' attempt at humor didn't land. He also claimed to have once slept with a fat girl

Dreyfuss’ attempt at humor didn’t land. He also claimed to have once slept with a fat girl “in 2007.”

“I mean, I don’t even know many fat people. The few I know, I definitely won’t fuck.

“I like to think that if I was dating someone and they gain weight, I would help them figure out how to lose it.

“If I fell in love with you and we were together and you had gained some weight, I really don’t think I would break up with you. I’d work on it with you and we’d go to a fat camp together or whatever.’

He continued his virtual stand-up, then claimed he “slept with a fat girl once.”

“I once slept with a fat girl. It was 2007. I met her in a cowboy bar. She was a conservative from Long Island who weighed 130, maybe 140 pounds. When she texted me a week later, I told her I was bisexual to put her off.

Ben went on to say that a “majority” of Americans are obese, “so you can’t even talk about fat or thin without people saying, ‘How dare you! Each should weigh 328 pounds.”

Recent figures from the CDC state that 41.9 percent of Americans are either overweight or obese.

“Listen, I’m not a nice person. I don’t live on a butter farm for fatsos. Don’t expect me to be nice about that,’ he said.

Finally, he signed: “I didn’t call you obese. That is a destiny for a doctor. I just meant you’re too fat for sporty people in LA and NYC.

“I’m sure you’re totally attractive at the Iowa State Fair or whatever. Thank God.’

Dreyfuss’ attempt at humor didn’t land.

“You can’t even get Nepobaby right,” said one follower, while others pointed out that he himself has a glass eye — a fact he routinely references.

“I met you once and you were the most awkward person I’ve ever met,” said another.

Dreyfuss worked for Mother Jones as editorial director, but now has a substack page.

He recently played young Bernie Madoff in an ABC miniseries about the deceased con man.
