Jen Shah blamed her former assistant Stuart Smith for the cheating scandal she is involved in, as seen in The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 3 trailer.
“I was played by Stuart Smith. I wouldn’t be in this at all if it wasn’t for Stuart,” she said in the clip, which was released via Page Six on Wednesday.
Jen, who faces up to 14 years in prison, pleaded guilty in July to federal charges of organizing a $5 million telemarketing scam that exploited hundreds of elderly people.

Jen spoke to co-stars Heather Gay and Meredith Marks during the candid comments on her legal drama.
Seth Marks, Meredith’s husband, asked her, “Have you ever asked Jen if she’s guilty of any of those charges?” during the sneak peak.
Danna Bui-Negrete also stars in the trailer, speaking to Whitney Rose about Jen and revealing that she has a friend who used to work for her troubled co-star.
She said her friend is now “an informant” during the clip.
Uh oh: Jen, who faces up to 14 years in prison, pleaded guilty in July to organizing a $5 million telemarketing scam that exploited hundreds of elderly people
In July, Jen pleaded guilty to organizing a $5 million telemarketing scam that exploited hundreds of elderly people.
She also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to wire fraud.
The US attorney dropped her second charge of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Jen said at the time she pleaded guilty that she “knew it was wrong” and that she was “so sorry” for the “many people” who were hurt.
Stuart admitted his involvement in the same fraud, pleaded guilty in November 2021 and agreed to cooperate with federal prosecutors in her case against Jen.

She was charged in March last year along with her assistant Stuart Smith, who has also pleaded guilty.
The Bravo star initially pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering through telemarketing.
US prosecutors say Shah used third-party names to distance himself from the crimes.
She used and directed others to use encrypted messaging applications to communicate with other participants and made numerous cash withdrawals structured to circumvent reporting requirements for currency transactions.
During the reunion show in March this year, Shah sobbed as she explained that she was “fighting” the charges.
She said: “I’m innocent. I will fight this for every person out there who can’t fight for themselves because they don’t have the resources or means so don’t fight.
“I’m going to fight because, first, I’m innocent and second, I’m going to represent every other person out there who can’t and couldn’t fight.”
Prosecutors allege Shah orchestrated the complicated scheme to create lists of potential victims, with the majority being over the age of 55.
She is accused of then selling those leads to telemarketing companies, who in turn would try to sell business services to the victims.
Shah would then receive a share of the fraudulent revenue the telemarketers generated, according to court documents.
