Jeremy Renner shares a photo from a physical therapy session after the star was almost crushed by a snowplough

Jeremy Renner shared a photo of his physiotherapy session after being nearly crushed to death by a 14,000lb snowplow.

Renner, 52, was in the photo with his hands clasped over his stomach and his head resting against the pillows of his hospital bed while a physiotherapist bent his knee.

The star’s bed was positioned next to floor-to-ceiling windows, giving the Marvel actor a lovely view to enjoy while he continued to recover. On Saturday, the actor remained hopeful that his broken bones in his 30s will heal and grow stronger as love and bonds with family and friends deepen.

Renner was struck by a snow plow on January 1 while helping a family member’s car out of the snow. He was flown to the hospital from his mansion near Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

He was released from hospital earlier this week and friends and family said it could take up to two years for the actor’s injuries to fully heal.

Though Renner is now learning a different definition of “morning workout,” he said the “tragedy … quickly focused on uniting actionable love.”

“I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and consideration for my family and I…. Lots of love and appreciation to you all,” he told his fans.

Several celebrities sent well wishes to Renner, including Chris Hemsworth and Heidi Klum.

Hemsworth, who worked with Renner in the Avenger films, wrote: “You’re a champion dude! We love you.’

Klum wrote, “Sending you love.”

Actress Eiza Gonzalez wrote, “You got that J,” while singer Sam Feldt wrote, “Sending lots of love mate.”

Renner’s physiotherapy is only the beginning of his further healing process. Renner’s reps said he suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and is in critical but stable condition following surgery.

His friends said his injuries were far worse than feared and that he “almost bled to death” and “almost died” while waiting for help to arrive.

‘It’s a lot worse than anyone knows. Jeremy is very aware of the fact that he almost died out there,” a source told RadarOnline.

“The right side of Jeremy’s chest was shattered and his torso collapsed. He also had a bad head wound that was bleeding and a leg injury.

“Jeremy was in a lot of pain and was having trouble breathing,” a source told RadarOnline. “He knew he was in bad shape and that he might not make it,” the source said at the time.

On a 911 recording obtained by TMZ, Renner showed how he cried out in pain after the incident.

In the audio clip, the unidentified neighbor can be heard telling Renner repeatedly to “lie still” while the 911 operator questions him.

“I need the address of the emergency, please,” the operator can be heard saying to the male caller.

The 52-year-old was flown to hospital after being “crushed” and “almost died” while awaiting emergency services with friends and family. He reportedly said he “almost bled to death.”

“I told you so,” says the male caller, frustrated, while Renner continues to moan in pain in the background.

“I know I just need to verify what phone number you’re calling from,” the operator said.

“Someone was run over by a snow groomer straight away, hurry up,” he can be heard saying.

“Okay, what phone are you calling from just in case the connection goes down,” she says.

“Tell me exactly what happened,” she is heard saying. The neighbor replied: “I don’t know, someone is in front of my house and got run over by a snow groomer. He has been devastated.”

“Call paramedic, ambulance,” he said, and was cut off by the operator, who said, “Everyone’s on their way.”

A pause in the phone call gives way to Renner’s gurgling moans.

“I don’t know, I can’t tell,” the neighbor says, before explaining that Renner is crushed on his right side in the chest and torso, adding that his “ribs may be crushed.”

‘He also has a head wound. Can you give me an estimated time of arrival?’ he can be heard in the recorded 911 call.

“It’s hard to give an ETA just because of the snow on the mountain I don’t know how fast they can go,” the operator said when the neighbor explained that his breath was getting short.

After arriving home, he encouraged residents of Reno and Lake Tahoe to be careful and said he missed his “happy place.”

‘How is she doing?’ you hear them ask. “Shallow breathing, a lot of pain, he’s aware we’re covering him with blankets, his head is covered, he’s going to drift in.”

‘Is he starting to sleep?’ she asks, to which the neighbor replies, “Yeah.”

The audio makes it clear the 52-year-old required life-saving equipment and has been screaming in pain for over 15 minutes.

Renner was later flown to the hospital from a snow-covered private road.

The footage shows the emergency helicopter taking off from the winter landscape and disappearing behind snow-capped mountains.
