Just a week earlier, emergency workers had been called to a social check at Jessica’s home in the eastern suburbs.

Around noon, three officers were seen ringing Jessica’s doorbell before two male paramedics entered the building.

Minutes later, Jessica emerged in black leggings and a gray cardigan as she slowly descended the stairs with the help of paramedics.

She was taken to an ambulance where she was placed on a stretcher and taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick.

A witness told the Daily Mail Australia she was not wearing shoes, her hair was a “tousled mess” and she was in a “visibly distraught state”.

Jessica reportedly undertook a detoxification and internal health program with inpatient programs that averaged $25,000 for a month.

In September 2018, the South African-born star announced that she was retiring from Channel Nine show Bad Mothers a month before filming was scheduled to begin.

“Jessica has decided to retire from acting for the remainder of 2018 to focus on her health and spend time with her family,” her manager said at the time.
