Jodie Fellows: The death of a market trader is mysterious and died after being taken to hospital with serious injuries

The sudden death of a woman who died with serious injuries just hours after arriving at the hospital is being investigated by the homicide squad.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Jodie Fellows, who died on Thursday at Collie Hospital, about two hours’ drive south of Perth.

At least ten investigators searched her home in the southwest of the city on Friday for clues to find out what might have led to her serious injuries.

After a tour of the quiet neighborhood, police left the home with several large brown paper bags full of evidence.

Police said that while they were approaching the death from “all angles”, the collie community should not be concerned about any ongoing danger.

“The residents of Collie have nothing to worry about,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Stephen Cleal.

“We have no safety concerns regarding this matter.”

Two women were seen talking to investigators as they canvassed the area Friday. Police confirmed a man in his 40s was assisting with their inquiries.

It is understood Ms Fellows knew the man.

Snr Srgt Cleal said no charges had been laid in the early stages of the investigation.

A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said it The West Australian that he heard loud noises coming from Ms. Fellow’s house on Wednesday evening.

The man said that although loud noises are not uncommon in the neighborhood, he had never heard such noises before.

“(There were) two loud bangs like a gunshot late Wednesday night,” he said.

Ms Fellows is said to have worked at the popular Bunbury Farmers Market.
