John Stamos vows to ‘keep on loving’ as he pays tribute to Bob Saget on the anniversary of his death

John Stamos celebrated the one-year anniversary of his friend Bob Saget’s death at the age of 65 with an emotional tribute to his late co-star on Instagram.

On Monday, the 59-year-old actor, best known for playing Jesse Katsopolis opposite Saget for eight years in the comedy Full House, shared footage of them joking around on the set of their hit series.

In the recording, Stamos can be heard saying, “We’ll never have a show like this again,” before his pal interjects, “My agent told me I’d never have a show again!”

“We really love each other … In six years there hasn’t been a single fight, we get along really well, I look forward to seeing everyone,” Stamos marveled.

The You star captioned the video with a quote from Charlie Chaplin, which read, “A day without laughter is a day wasted.”

“It’s hard sometimes Bob without you, but we’ll try. We will continue to love and hug each other the way you want us to,” he continued.

The father-of-one continued: “I can’t believe it’s been a year, time flies when you’re grieving I guess.”

His comments section was flooded with loving comments from many of his more than 3.8 million Instagram followers, his wife Caitlin McHugh and former Full House colleagues.

“Love you so much,” his on-screen niece Jodie Sweetin wrote under Stamos’ post, while Candace Cameron Bure wrote, “Isn’t that the truth.”

Saget’s widow Kelly Rizzo, 43, also commemorated the anniversary of his death on social media.

Her spouse died from head trauma at The Ritz-Carlton, Orlando in Florida after apparently hitting the back of his head with something.

His death has left his worldwide fanbase stunned, not to mention his family, who said he was happier than ever when he died.

Hit sitcom Stamos is best known for portraying Jesse Katsopolis in the comedy Full House opposite Saget for eight years between 1987 and 1995 (seen 1989).

‘A year. Our hearts are so heavy. How could I not have spoken to or seen my beloved husband for a whole year?’ she wrote on Instagram.

Kelly said she accepted the “reality” of his death, but it “still seems unreal when I see photos or videos of him so full of life.”

She performed Ben Folds’ song, The Luckiest, under the video, explaining that it was one of Bob’s favorite songs and the theme summed up her feelings.

Sad: Saget’s widow Kelly Rizzo, 43, also commemorated the anniversary of his death on social media.

“But there’s one thing I carry with me every day that makes this survivable,” she continued. “I AM THE HAPPIEST. I’m the happiest that I got to be his wife. I am extremely fortunate to have had the privilege of living with his warmth, laughter, brilliance and love.”

In an essay for People, Kelly wrote, “Complicated, brilliant, compassionate, hilarious, neurotic, headstrong, loving, gorgeous, complex, determined, loyal and sweet. He taught me so much about how to be a better person, how to love yourself and others more fully.”

She also wrote about the support she had from Bob’s daughters Aubrey, 36, Lara, 33, and Jennifer, 30, to deal with the pain of his loss, telling the outlet they are “true miracles and angels and the.” The gratitude I have that we have each other is immeasurable.’

Former “Full House” co-stars Dave Coulier, 63, and Candace Cameron Bure, 43, also posted their own tributes.

Dave wrote about how they hit it off when they first met and how they became brothers.

“Sometime today I’m going to think about how much I miss him and I’m going to shed a few tears. Then I hear Bob’s voice and it makes me laugh. Enjoy life’s gifts while they’re still here with you.”

Brothers: Full House co-star Dave Coulier, 63, wrote about how they hit it off the moment they first met and how brothers became. “Sometime today I’m going to think about how much I miss him and I’m going to shed a few tears. Then I will hear Bob’s voice and it will make me laugh.

Candace posted a flashback photo and wrote about reminiscing about the good times with her TV dad. “I stayed up for hours watching videos of Bob on my phone. Videos I couldn’t watch a year ago because it hurt too much.”

“They made me laugh last night,” she explained. “They comforted me and warmed my heart. I watched her over and over and laughed so hard. I miss him so much and am grateful that he was my friend for so many years. I love you Bob❤️.”

They both ended their messages by urging readers to “hug… like Bob.”
