Former Chelsea captain John Terry was filmed celebrating with Chelsea in the away game at Anfield during the Blues’ draw against Liverpool on Saturday.

The ex-defender is a well-known Chelsea fan and has supported the club after retiring from playing and has been spotted previously by fans, but he has been bullied by fans in Merseyside while watching his former side.

Fans chanted, “John Terry won the double,” as the 42-year-old resisted taking part, before beginning to jump to cheers with the fans.

Terry, who played 721 games for Chelsea, posed for photos as he fought for space surrounded by fans before the songs erupted.

He posted photos, including a selfie at the away game, to his Instagram and shared a pint with fans at a pitch where he often played as a player.

Terry coached at Aston Villa after his retirement but has since left the club and has yet to find another role.

His post on Instagram was captioned: “Loved being in the away game with our fans today. As a player you arrive by bus and you go straight to the dressing room, you don’t get to see or feel what the fans are feeling.

“When I retired I always wanted to be with our fans in the away game and I absolutely loved it today.

“A huge thank you to our fans who travel the world to support our amazing club. I fucking love you all.”

Unfortunately, he was unable to spur his former team on to victory, the game ending 0-0 despite several chances for the Blues.

Carney Chukwuemeka and Kai Havertz were among those who came close to Chelsea, with Havertz seeing an early goal ruled out for Offide.

Mykhailo Mudryk came off the bench to make his debut and impressed in attack, giving Graham Potter a selection headache.
