Johnny Mathis’ Hollywood Hills mansion has collapsed on a hillside, crushing his Jaguar

A hillside collapsed in front of music legend Johnny Mathis’ home in the Hollywood Hills, destroying the 87-year-old singer’s Jaguar that was parked outside.

The landslide – which took place after a widespread storm in southern California – occurred seven years after the same house was destroyed in a fire.

According to KABC, the landslide exposed pipes and other parts of the home’s infrastructure, cutting off supplies.

The disaster happened on the 1400 block of Sunset Plaza in the Hollywood Hills, the channel reported, and it wasn’t immediately clear how the landslide affected the home’s stability.

Mathis’ silver Jaguar was covered and filled with mud and debris after the landslide, the station reported.

The incident comes more than seven years after the same property was decimated by a fire in November 2015.

Mathis, who was inducted into the Grammys Hall of Fame, has been active in music for seven decades, with songs like Chances Are; Too much, too little, too late and I can’t say.

The house was previously destroyed in a fire in November 2015, which destroyed all but a few mementos of Mathis’ property.

More than 40 firefighters were deployed to put out the fire, which caused the roof of the house to collapse.

Mathis was returning to Los Angeles at the time after playing a show in Cleveland and told reporters at the time he was grateful no one was hurt in the fire.

“I’m fine, nobody got hurt – that’s always important – we can always substitute things,” he told KTLA5. “I’m a very lucky man, I could have been here, I could have been in bed. “I’m very happy, a little bit sad of course, but very happy.”
