Jonathan Majors denies assaulting woman after being arrested in New York City

Jonathan Majors denies any wrongdoing after he was arrested for reportedly assaulting a woman in New York City.

The 33-year-old Creed III star was taken into custody Saturday morning on charges of “strangulation, assault and molestation,” according to TMZ.

However, his rep has denied the allegations, saying: “He has done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.’

The alleged victim, a woman, told police Majors got into an argument with her and “attacked” her. The nature of their relationship is currently unknown.

According to a source who spoke to the publication, the alleged victim had visible injuries on her body, including a “cut behind her ear, redness and bruises on her face.”

After the alleged altercation, she was taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Meanwhile, the actor was tied up and immediately taken to jail as police “believed there was sufficient evidence of a probable cause.”

Police were called to the scene around 11 a.m. near the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.

The Santa Barbara-born entertainer has since been released from custody, according to reports.

The news follows a slew of blockbuster films the actor has recently starred in, including Creed III opposite Michael B. Jordan and Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

The actor was also in attendance at the Oscars earlier this month, serving as one of the many presenters.
