Lopetegui was furious over calls made against Liverpool and Nottingham Forest
Chief umpires Webb was due to meet with all managers in the coming weeks but Sportsmail understand the meeting has been brought forward in light of recent events.
The meeting, which is believed to have lasted around 90 minutes, is said to have gone well, with Lopetegui able to explain in detail where he felt the wolves were being roughly treated.
After his Forest side were eliminated on penalties, Lopetegui said: “It was a very clear penalty against Matheus – very clear, but the referee is the only one who has the power so we have to accept it.

“When you see the replays it’s impossible to think otherwise but the VAR wasn’t on duty today and that was a shame for us.
“I just want the decisions not to be against us, I have to think we’re unlucky but it will even out in the rest of the season because I can’t think of anything else.”
The match final was marred by a brawl involving players and staff from both sides. The FA is investigating the incidents and charges appear inevitable.
Forest striker Morgan Gibbs-White, who joined the club from Wolves last summer, enraged his former team-mates by provocatively celebrating in front of the fans in attendance as Dean Henderson saved against Joe Hodge and the home side’s progress to the last four sealed.
