Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Virgil van Dijk will be out for “more than a month” with a hamstring injury.

However, the Liverpool manager admitted it was his decision to dismiss him at half-time during the Reds’ 3-1 defeat at Brentford.

Van Dijk, Konstantinos Tsimikas and Harvey Elliott were all substituted at half-time after Liverpool went 2-0 at the break.
