Karim Benzema sends a message of support to his French teammates ahead of the World Cup final

‘Allez les Bleus!’: Karim Benzema sends a message of support to his French teammates ahead of the World Cup final against Argentina… despite ‘ALTERNATE Emmanuel Macron’s offer to fly to Qatar on his private jet’
Karim Benzema wished his French team-mates the best of luck in their World Cup final against Lionel Messi’s Argentina on Sunday in a quick post on social media.
Benzema is the subject of much controversy ahead of the final after the Ballon d’Or winner’s French striker recovered from a pre-tournament injury to be available for the final but stayed on in Madrid.
The 34-year-old’s relationship with France coach Didier Deschamps is reportedly so fractured that Benzema even turned down an offer from President Emmanuel Macron to fly his personal private jet to the Middle East.

His latest post, featuring a picture of superstars from both nations, is captioned with a tweet that reads, “It’s time… everyone together. Vamonos. Come on Les Bleus.
Benzema is reportedly furious with Deschamps after he was sent home to recover from his hamstring injury, which the striker thought was a minor issue that could have been dealt with at camp.

The star striker reportedly needed just three days of treatment at Real Madrid’s training center before going on holiday and is now ready for action.
Benzema could have been recalled for the final after Deschamps failed to call up a substitute, but the Real Madrid striker admitted in a previous post on social media that he was “not interested” in being involved.

AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud has taken the lead in Benzema’s absence and repaid the trust placed in him by scoring four goals in Qatar and becoming the nation’s all-time leading scorer.
Giroud starts the final against Argentina after overcoming a viral illness that swept through the France squad in the days leading up to the epic encounter between two global football superpowers.
Les Blues boss Deschamps was visibly frustrated when asked about his relationship with the Talisman at his pre-final press conference.
He replied to the journalists in attendance, “I don’t really want to answer that question,” and smiled as he quickly said, “Next question.”
The French boss was further questioned about whether Benzema is playing or even watching in Qatar, and hesitantly replied: “Are you spreading the word among foreign journalists? If I don’t answer you’ll say I’m mad.
“I have players who have been injured before. Karim is one of them. The last injured is Lucas Hernandez.

“Since then I have had to manage 24 players and you know them. Asking that question to these players is, if I may say so myself, clumsy at the very least, if not a little more clumsy.
“The group is here. I don’t care about invites from players, ex-players or injured players. I don’t know who will be there.’
