Kate Middleton did the same for Meghan Markle by walking barefoot to Roman Kemp’s parents’ house, where she casually “chatted with his family and his dogs” – after calling him to set up an interview

Roman Kemp has revealed that Princess Kate called him and asked if she could come to his parents’ house, where she was playing barefoot with his family’s dogs.
The Capital FM breakfast presenter, 30, and the son of pop stars Martin Kemp and Shirlie Holliman, revealed the 41-year-old royal had contacted him after his BBC documentary Roman Kemp: Our Silent Emergency aired.
The show explored young men’s suicide crisis, a topic dear to Roman’s heart after his best friend and producer Joe Lyons committed suicide in 2020.
Speak with the timesRoman said the call from the future queen was “an honor but one of the strangest things”.
“We had a Zoom call, just her and me.” And she was like, ‘Oh, you know, I can come over and do it there.’ And I was just like, ‘No, let’s go to my parents’. “ It’s a bigger house. “I don’t want to bring royalty to a flat in Vauxhall.”

Kate then traveled to the 1980s pop legend’s home in Hertfordshire, where she met all the family.
“We were sitting at the kitchen counter with my mum and dad and my sister with all the dogs, and Kate was with us.”
“The funniest thing was that she had no shoes on because she was respectful enough to take her shoes off at the door.” “That really stuck in my mind because you don’t see kings without shoes,” he said.
Kate may be taking a tip from her sister-in-law Meghan, who previously revealed she was “barefoot” and wearing ripped jeans when she first met William.
In the explosive Netflix docu-series Harry & Meghan, the Duchess admitted she wasn’t aware that the “formality” is behind closed doors and that she’s a “hug” — unaware that she was “for irritating some Brits”.
She also shared footage of herself sitting barefoot on the kitchen counter at Frogmore Cottage.

Meghan has also gone barefoot on official occasions, including during a powhiri welcome ceremony at Te Papaiouru Marae – a Māori meeting house – in Rotorua during her trip to New Zealand.
Harry also appeared barefoot in photos where the couple announced they were expecting their second child, as well as on the couple’s Christmas card following the birth of Lilibet.
Before joining the royal family, Meghan often appeared barefoot – including on a shoot where she did yoga poses, and since her departure she has posed barefoot for US magazine Variety.
The photoshoot, released last year, shows her lying barefoot on the floor in a £4,657 Jason Wu dress.

Meghan Markle revealed she was “barefoot” and wearing ripped jeans when she first met Prince William and Kate (pictured at the Invictus Games with Prince Harry).
Roman, who has also met with Prince William and Prince Harry to talk about mental health, later reunited with Kate when he signed on for her Shaping Us campaign, during which they released a short film together.
The radio host also revealed that Prince Harry once urged him to throw water balloons at William while he was DJing at a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
Speaking to James Haskell and Ian Wright while starring in I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! in 2019, he said: “One time I had received a letter and it was from Prince Harry who was DJing at the garden party DJ at Buckingham Palace.” I was playing a track and someone came over and said “Roman come here” and it was Prince Harry…
“Princess Kate was there and there was a slingshot in the middle. They have a bucket full of water balloons and just let those water balloons shoot out into the crowd from a balcony.
“He said, ‘Come on, Harry hold it, Kate hold it…’
“I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ He said, ‘Aim a little to the left,’ and I said, ‘Who am I aiming at?’ and he said, ‘My brother!’ I said, ‘No, me will be punished for high treason!”
