Kerry Katona reveals she gets into the Christmas spirit early by putting up her tree and decorations on November 1st before moving to Spain

She previously called Halloween her “favorite time of the year.”

But this year, Kerry Katona has decided to stop celebrating the spooky holiday and instead go straight to the Christmas festivities.

The former Atomic Kitten singer, 43, has revealed she is embracing the festive season earlier than usual and has skipped Halloween for the first time.

She explained that she wasn’t going to wait to get her Christmas tree and decorations out, choosing to put them up on November 1st.

Writing in her latest OK! Magazine column, Kerry said: “Normally at Halloween I go all out and go to town with decorations – as you can see in the picture!” But for the first time ever this year I did nothing. “Hosting is a lot of work.”

She explained that she wanted to make the most of the Christmas celebrations as she was busy with work in December and this would be her last Christmas in the UK.

The former singer previously revealed that she plans to start a new life in Spain with her fiancé Ryan Mahoney.

Kerry wrote: “My Christmas decorations will be up on November 1st though.” I can’t wait. I work throughout December and when I hang them up I’m not home to enjoy them.

“I really want to get into the Christmas spirit and feel festive, so I’m going to spend November doing that. Especially because it will be our last Christmas before we move to Spain.”

She also shared a Cinderella meme on her Instagram on Monday that read, “And when the clock strikes midnight, Halloween becomes Christmas.”

The mother-of-five and her fiancé are hoping to swap their Cheshire villa for a new home in Marbella in the summer when their tenancy agreement ends in June.

The couple flew to the Costa del Sol earlier this month and Kerry revealed they had already viewed houses.

“It’s nice to get a feel for the areas and places we want to move to though.” I love England and I love the English but I hate the weather, it makes me feel so much better being out here be.

“I’m looking forward to moving here because at the moment I’m living out of a suitcase and paying for a house that I’ve never been to in the UK.”

“And I’ll still be home all the time working and stuff. This holiday was also nice to be child-free for a while, even though they spoke to me on the phone every day!’

Kerry is the proud mother of children Molly, 22, Lilly, 20, Heidi, 16, Max, 15 and DJ, 9, and has admitted the move will be easier now that her children are older.

Last month she took the family on a trip to Marbella, which she said was “amazing” and “simply the best”.

She added: “Being out there has made us want to move abroad even more and we’re going to do that next summer.”

“We’ve wanted to move abroad for years, but now that the kids are getting older and there’s only DJ at school, it’s easier.”

“I can work from anywhere and fly back and forth, so we will 100% do that.” Ryan is ready – and so am I. Look at this area!’
