In his memoir, Prince Harry claims his brother “threw himself on” and “twice grabbed his shirt” during an argument over his interview with Oprah Winfrey in front of their father.
Harry, in his bombastic memoir, describes how Prince William “screamed” and “really fumed” when he touched him during the argument in front of then-Prince Charles after the funeral of their grandfather, Prince Philip.
William then reportedly used a secret set of codes about Princess Diana and gave Harry a hug, telling him “I love you” and “I just want you to be happy.”
Details of the dispute emerged just days after it was revealed that Harry claimed in his book that a “hot” William once injured him by pushing him onto a dog bowl on the kitchen floor of his cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace in 2019 .

In his new autobiography, Spare, the Duke of Sussex, 38, writes how his brother became heated during a half-hour walk near Frogmore Cottage following Philip’s funeral on April 17, 2021.
Harry, William and Charles reportedly discussed the interview he and Meghan Markle gave Oprah the month before.
Harry claims he tried to address bullying allegations against Meghan but his father and brother “didn’t listen”.
The California-based king went on to claim that William was “really steaming” and grabbed him as he tried to walk away.
“I waved my hand in disgust but he fell and grabbed my shirt. “Listen to me, Harold,” Harry wrote in his book, according to The Sun.
“I pulled away, refusing to meet his gaze. He forced me to look into his eyes. “Listen Harold, listen! I love you Harold! I want you to be happy.”‘
Harry claims he replied, “I love you too…but your stubbornness is extraordinary!”

The duke reportedly tried to pull away, but William reportedly “grabbed again” and “twisted” him so the couple could maintain eye contact.
William then invoked the brother’s so-called “secret code” and swore on the life of Princess Diana that his intentions were genuine, Harry wrote.
He writes that William said, “Harold, you have to listen to me! I just want you to be happy, Harold. I swear, I swear on Mama’s life.”
Harry continued, “He quit. I stopped. Dad stopped. He had gone there.
“He used the secret code, the universal password. Ever since we were boys, these three words should only be used in times of extreme crisis.’
The Duke claimed his brother was “not ready to accept defeat just yet” and claimed to be “really sick and sick” over the tensions between the pair.
William reportedly repeated, “I swear to you now on mum’s life that all I want is for you to be happy.”
Harry claims his “voice was broken” and he “gently” told William, “I really don’t think you do.”
The older brother then reportedly hugged Harry and said, “I love you.”

In an extraordinary excerpt from his forthcoming autobiography, Spare, Harry recalls being physically attacked by his sibling, now the Prince of Wales, which he claims left him visible injuries

Britain’s Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex (L) and Britain’s Prince William, Duke of Cambridge attend the unveiling of a statue of their mother, Princess Diana, in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, London on July 1, 2021
The latest allegation comes just days after a leaked excerpt of the forthcoming memoir revealed Harry claimed William injured him by pushing him on a dog bowl.
Harry claimed he fell out during a conversation in early 2019 about their relationship, Harry’s run-in with the press and Meghan with his brother at Nottingham Cottage.
The Duke of Sussex claims William then grabbed his collar, ripped his necklace and then pushed him into the kitchen, landing him on a dog bowl which smashed his back and injured him.
Harry and Meghan lived in the London home – dubbed “Nott Cott” – in the grounds of Kensington Palace from 2016 before moving to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate in April 2019.
In their explosive Netflix series Harry & Meghan, the couple described the home as “so small,” with clips from the documentary showing paved walkways and shrubs sprouting in the borders.
Harry said in an interview for the series: “The whole thing is a bit weird, [with] really low ceilings. So I don’t know who was there before, but they must have been very brief.’
Meghan laughed, revealing that Harry “would keep banging his head because he’s so tall”.
Clips also showed Harry and Meghan doing DIY, the Duke painting a summer house and Meghan gardening.
The Duchess of Sussex said: “It was a time in our lives where people probably couldn’t believe what was going on behind the scenes.”
Another snap with a homey feel shows Harry eating chicken and snuggling with Meghan’s dog Guy on a cream sofa.
Oprah was among the guests visiting the Sussexes at the cottage.
