Kmart releases inflatable kayaks and stand up paddle boards

Shoppers are rushing to Kmart to try and get their hands on the store’s latest sold-out product.

The budget store has released an adult and kid sized paddle board and kayak as part of its summer watersports range.

Prices start at just $99, but buyers have complained that it’s “impossible” to get their hands on them because they sell out so quickly.

Water sports fans are particularly excited about the inflatable Stand Up Paddle Boards, a brand new version from Kmart.

The adult 10ft board is $199 and the junior board is $169.

The product comes with a backpack to carry the deflated board, an adjustable paddle, a pump and a repair kit.

“We love our Stand Up Paddle Board! So easy to inflate and deflate and stow on a boat,” said one mum.

Bestway’s cult-favorite Hydro Force kayak has made a welcome return to stores, but it’s already completely sold out online.

The $129 adult-sized inflatable kayak seats two and comes complete with two paddles, a hand pump, a carry bag and a repair patch.

Customers also love the hard shell kayak for kids, which is only $99.

The compact blue kayak comes with two paddles and has received excellent reviews online.

“We have the kayaks and they are perfect! children love them. We’ll definitely be buying the kids’ paddle board for next summer,” said one mom.

However, not everyone was happy with Kmart as the products have proved difficult to purchase.

“What’s the point of promoting this stuff when it’s always sold out?” said one woman.

“Inventory low or nonexistent and has been for a long time,” agreed another.

“The new range has proved very popular with customers this season, but many of the key items in this range are still in plentiful supply, both in our stores and online,” said Melissa Machin, Kmart Active Merchandise Manager.

‘Customers are encouraged to use our online in-store finder or to order via online delivery or click and collect to ensure they get their hands on this great range of outdoor activities.’
