Lawyers for Alex Murdaugh allege the court clerk pressured the jury into traveling to NYC to appear alongside her on the Today Show – and that she also landed a book deal following his murder trial

Lawyers for Alex Murdaugh have appealed his conviction, alleging the court clerk interfered with his trial – and even gotten a book deal out of the case.

The team filed a motion Tuesday on behalf of the disgraced South Carolina attorney, alleging that Rebecca Hill repeatedly “rigged the jury.”

Court documents seen by DailyMail.com say Hill told the jury not to be fooled by Murdaugh and told them their “deliberations should not last long”.

It said: “Ms. Hill did this to secure a book deal and media appearances that would not happen in the event of a mistrial.

‘MS. Hill broke her oath of office for money and fame.’
