Leeds United were locked in talks with Hoffenheim on Monday night as they sought an agreement on a fee for striker Georginio Rutter.

The 20-year-old France Under-21 international is keen to make the move and hopes to be in Leeds for a medical in the next 24 hours.

Hoffenheim are pushing for around £35m including add-ons that would top the record £27m fee Leeds paid for Valencia’s Rodrigo.
