Liberal politician Taylor Martin’s shocking texts to his former MP lover Lucy Wicks are revealed

A NSW politician is said to have referred to his ex-lover as a “stupid asshole” and a “fucking bitch” in a series of offensive, foul-mouthed texts revealed for the first time.

Taylor Martin, 32, has quit the Liberal Party after it was revealed that former Central Coast MP Lucy Wicks, 50, had complained about his alleged hate campaign.

Mr Martin had previously worked for the MP and was involved with Ms Wicks before winning a seat in the New South Wales Parliament in 2017.

Their secret affair ended in 2019 and reportedly sparked years of angry text messages full of profanity from Mr Martin to Ms Wicks.

One of Mr. Martin is said to have told her in January 2021: “Stay in your make-believe world, you damn ignorant bitch.”

The lyrics were revealed by the Sydney Morning Herald on Monday after copies were shared by Ms Wicks’ emotional support person.

Others have labeled her as a “damn idiot,” “a pig,” “a fool,” “F****,” and “a maniac,” among others.

Mr Martin is said to have told her to “shut up, you stupid bastard” and “listen to yourself, you absolute jerk of a person”.

Others added, “That’s why I’m so mad at you… stop talking to me like that while you’re killing me you idiot.”

‘You bitch. You don’t even try to get it. you fucking bitch Listen to yourself. Don’t tell me such lies, you motherfucker.’

Mr Martin has now withdrawn from the Liberal party room while the allegations are investigated by a senior lawyer brought in by party leaders.

Mr Martin denied any wrongdoing and said he would cooperate with the independent inquiry but blamed his youth for the outbreaks.

“I was young and inexperienced and I found myself in a situation that was well beyond my limits,” he said in a statement.

“There were heated words during my attempts to go our separate ways, which I sincerely regret.”

“It was an ugly and undignified goodbye.” If I could make amends for the pain inflicted, I would do it immediately.

“I am so sorry and I offer my unreserved apologies to everyone involved.”

His official Facebook profile was also taken offline.

Ms Wicks hired Mr Martin eight years ago when he was 24 and he later became the youngest Member of Parliament when he took over his seat in the New South Wales House of Lords from Mike Gallacher in 2017.

Their relationship ended in 2019 and Ms Wicks says she was abused by Mr Martin for five years.

Ms Wick’s emotional support person told SMH the abuse silenced the MP because “he had so much control over her”.

They added, “She was afraid of his reaction.”

She finally filed her confidential complaint with the Liberal Party in October 2021, before losing her Robertson seat in the May 2022 federal election.

Ms Wick spoke out publicly about the abuse over the weekend after being outed as a victim by Ben Fordham on 2GB on Friday without her permission.

“My complaint to the Liberal Party related to serious concerns, including conduct in the workplace, within the party and in political interactions,” Ms Wicks said.

“These include allegations that I have been physically threatened and have received hundreds of demeaning, degrading and abusive texts.”

“During those five years, I was subjected to an extremely aggressive barrage of verbal abuse, including threats that I would damage my reputation if I spoke up.”
