Lionel Messi celebrates Argentina’s victory over France in the World Cup final with his overjoyed family.

The star player’s three sons, Thiago, Mateo and Ciro, poured onto the pitch with excitement just moments before the epic cup win.

Messi’s childhood sweetheart, Antonella Roccuzzo, followed suit too – she was by his side in every big win including the Ballon d’Or football awards.

The family had watched from the stands and cheered for Messi during the historic game that ended 4-2 against Argentina.

When the family reached the pitch, they snapped a picture together – his wife beamed as she held the phone.

The team’s win put Messi in front of other players like Cristiano Ronaldo and silenced some debates surrounding him the best soccer player of all time.

It also comes after Messi received a letter of encouragement from his 10-year-old son Thiago.

The letter read: “Guys now we’re excited again, I want to win third place, I want to be world champion and we can see Diego from the sky with Don Diego and La Tota cheering on Lionel.”

Although written to cheer on his father before the game, it quoted the Argentine song “Muchachos”, which targeted England for the Falklands War.
