Love Island contestant Lana Jenkins once dated I’m A Celeb’s Owen Warner

The Love Island winter series will return on January 16 with a new cast of romance-seeking hopefuls.

And one of the contestants, Lana Jenkins, already boasts a famous love life, having previously dated Hollyoaks and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here star Owen Warner.

The 25-year-old makeup artist had a summer romance with the famous actor back in 2020 after his very public split from Stephanie Davies.

Lana and Owen confirmed their romance via Instagram when she shared a sweet snap of them together in June 2020.

The duo beamed as they snuggled up outside in the now-deleted image, holding hands.

While Owen also left flirtatious comments on the blonde beauty’s posts – with one remaining on a post from July this year.

They began dating after Owen split from fellow soap star Stephanie, whom he dated for nine months before their split in September 2019.

Lana and Owen found love after being introduced by mutual friends when they worked on CBBC’s So Awkward and was good friends with many of the Hollyoaks cast members.

However, just a few months later, it was reported that the couple had sadly decided to split.

However, Lana kept the relationship under wraps and revealed a slightly different encounter when asked by ITV2 about a “claim to fame”.

The beauty revealed she appeared in an episode of TV comedy Benidorm when she was six and living in Spain, while she now works as a makeup artist with “many celebrities”.

All in: Lana revealed she’s falling fast, telling ITV2: “I’ll know pretty soon if I could fall in love with this person and then as long as things are going well I’ll probably tell them I love them about one week’

Lana also revealed that she falls in love quickly, explaining, “I’ll know pretty soon if I could fall in love with that person, and then as long as things are going well I’ll probably tell them I love them in about a week. ‘

As for them, overzealous copywriters are. “I don’t mind if people text me all the time, but if you send me question marks when I haven’t answered you in a while, you’re gone,” she insists.

She will join a slew of young contestants all looking for love on the show, with the lineup including her first visually impaired contestant, Ron Hall, 26.

The ninth series of Love Island will be hosted by Maya Jama for the first time after Laura Whitmore resigned from her position following the tragic death of former presenter Caroline Flack in 2020.

In an interview with over the weekend, Maya revealed she didn’t have to audition to present Love Island and immediately accepted the hosting gig.

She told the Times: “Once you start doing television you meet a lot of producers through different shows and heads will be aware of the talent. . . Strange to call yourself a talent, isn’t it? I speak for a living. It’s not exactly tap dancing everywhere or performing a ballad.”

“I think I’ve always been in her eye line, but I was super young when presenter shifts happened in the past.”

The presenter was on time off when she received the call about the Love Island gig, explaining: “I got the call saying ‘We want to meet you.’ Or did they offer it to me straight away? Or “Are you in discussions? I’m trying to think! Anyway, I didn’t have to audition.”

When asked if she said yes right away, Maya exclaimed, “Right away! Naturally! Golden ticket.’

With record-breaking viewership, the final Love Island series, which aired in summer 2022, became the most watched series of all time on the ITV Hub with over 269 million streams.

The first winter series aired in January 2020 – just before the COVID-19 pandemic – and was won by Paige Turley and Finn Tapp.
