Former Love Island Australia star Isabelle Green has sparked outrage after she said transgender people have a mental illness.
The 29-year-old shared a bizarre meme on Instagram that read, “Your ancestors being bombed in trenches watched you get a panic attack if you left your cherry vape at home.”
She captioned the pic: “No offense… but wtf happened to our generation. That Who Trans thing, no, not for me. It has to stop – it’s called insanity. Kkk bye.’

Instagram watchdog account Influencer Updates AU reposted Green’s comments on Friday, prompting a flurry of criticism.
“And we give these people a platform, what a joke,” wrote one follower.
Another commented, “The way she used a meme that doesn’t even belong just to spread transphobic comments… lazy.”
“Wait, so scary that she claims she’s studying to become a qualified ‘life coach’ and preaches showing love to others,” wrote a third.
However, she had a supporter who praised her for being “real,” but conceded that she “could have worded it better or had more explanation behind it, rather than just saying that randomly.”

When contacted by Daily Mail Australia, Green clarified that she wasn’t talking about transgender people in general, but specifically what she describes as “the growing movement of pedophiles going to prison so they can get back into the return to society and re-offend”.
What she wanted to say, she said, was that pedophiles and those who go behind bars to crack down on children again are “mentally ill”.
In a lengthy email, Green also said her comment reflected her concerns about “furries” and adults “identifying” as children.

She concluded: “Do I hate trans people or don’t I like them? No not at all. You can do whatever you want with your body. It has nothing to do with me. I support people who live their truth.
“If it concerns my child or their safety, then yes, I will speak my mind. Child sex offenders shouldn’t be admitted to the transition, period.
“Because they are 100 percent mentally ill – and we should keep our children safe at all costs.”

When contacted by Daily Mail Australia, Green said she does not speak about trans people in general but specifically about what she describes as “the growing movement of pedophiles going to prison so that they can re-enter society and again can become criminal”.
