Lucy Boynton was spotted on the set of ITV drama Ruth – at the Hampstead house where her lover David Blakely lived on the night she murdered him

Lucy Boynton cut a glamorous figure as she began filming ITV drama Ruth in Hampstead on Friday, based on the story of Ruth Ellis.
The show tells the story of Ruth Ellis, who was executed in 1955 aged just 28 after killing her abusive lover, racing driver David Blakely.
The 29-year-old actress was pictured filming scenes outside 29 Tanza Road, the house where her lover David Blakely lived on the night she committed the murder.
She shot Blakely repeatedly outside the Magdala pub in Hampstead, north London, with a bullet ricocheting off the pavement and wounding a passer-by.
Lucy, who plays Ruth in the drama, wore her platinum blonde locks in a bouncy blow-dry look and slipped into casual clothing for filming.

For another scene, Lucy donned a leopard-print collard jacket, applied a slick of red lipstick and stood next to 1950s cars.
Lucy was seen walking the streets from place to place in her casual clothes.
Written by Kelly Jones, the drama is set in 1955 and will premiere on ITV1 and be available to stream on ITVX.

The drama follows Ellis as a young nightclub manager, her abusive relationship with Blakely and her subsequent arrest, trial and legal battle for redress.
Ellis was hanged in Holloway Prison in 1955, aged just 28, by famous executioner Albert Pierrepoint.
The four-part series is described as “a gripping legal and emotional rollercoaster” and is based on Carol Ann Lee’s acclaimed biography “A Fine Day for Hanging: The Real Ruth Ellis Story.”
