After weeks of rumours, it looks like Madonna is really about to embark on her next world tour.
The career-spanning 40th anniversary tour will be her biggest yet – and will include moments of “outrageous sex appeal” from the 64-year-old legendary singer, according to a new report.
“It’s going to be the biggest tour she’s ever done,” a mysterious executive familiar with the project told music bible Billboard.

Madonna is planning the event with her longtime manager Guy Oseary and concert promotion partner Live Nation.
The Queen of Pop is expected to perform some of her biggest hits across four decades of albums, starting with her self-titled debut in 1983.
Slated to include both stadium and arena dates, the tour will feature an “over-the-top production that delivers both ‘Material Girl’ kitsch and the occasional outrageous sex appeal, with plenty of jaw-dropping social media moments.”
Adult? Madonna’s new show will have “moments of outrageous sex appeal,” claims a source (pictured above on her final world tour for her album Madame X in 2020).
The rumors were first reported by The Sun earlier this year, with a source saying Madonna was “going back to basics” by going back to her best-selling songs and is looking forward to introducing her back catalog to a new generation of fans.
The shows will reportedly include dates at London’s O2 Arena.
A source said: “Madonna is trying something completely new – really giving fans, young and old, what they want.
“She wants to capitalize on tracks like ‘Frozen’ and ‘Material Girl’ popping up on TikTok and bring her back catalog to a whole new generation.
Last but not least! Madonna is reportedly planning her first-ever greatest hits tour, with several shows already booked for London’s O2 Arena (pictured during her Blonde Ambition tour in 1990).
Iconic: The music icon is said to be announcing dates for a mammoth series of shows, having first performed in the UK with her Who’s That Girl World Tour in 1987 (pictured)
“She used to always want to look ahead and focus on the new album she’s coming out.
“But now, in her mid-sixties, she’s going back to basics and reinventing herself all over again.
“Nevertheless, it is certainly uncompromising and correspondingly daring.
“Their last Madame X tour was in small theatres, but this one will be in stadiums, with O2 already confirmed. It’s incredibly exciting.”
racy! The hitmaker is no stranger to her revealing looks when she performs on her tours around the world (pictured performing at Wembley Stadium during her Girlie Show Tour in 1993).
According to the outlet, the Material Girl hitmaker has already held a series of meetings with American director Jamie King, 51, about ideas for the tour.
Madonna – who first hit the US Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Holiday’ in 1983 – admitted last summer that she was dying to get back on the road.
She said at the time: “I want to go on tour again. I’m a stage person. This is my happy place.”
Last August, Madonna became the first female artist to make the top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 in every decade since the 1980s after her remixed compilation “Finally Enough Love” debuted at number eight on the chart.

The Vogue singer charted her first top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart in October 1984 with her self-titled record, which later peaked at number eight.
In the ’80s, Madonna had four other top 10 hits on the Billboard 200 with “Like a Virgin”, “True Blue”, the “Who’s That Girl” soundtrack and “Like a Prayer”.
She collected seven in the 1990s, including The Immaculate Collection and Something to Remember, six in the 2000s, including Confessions on a Dance Floor, and four in the 2010s, Sticky and Sweet Tour, MDNA, Rebel Heart and Madame X.
