MAFS UK fans condemn Peggy for her “outrageously judgmental” reaction to husband Georges’ squatting video and point out the “irony” of her outfit as she storms out of the apartment

Married at First Sight British fans have slammed Peggy Rose Lawrence following her reaction to her husband Georges Berthonneau’s infamous squatting livestream video.

The newlyweds have been arguing over Georges’ part-time job since 32-year-old Peggy discovered during their honeymoon that her husband was making money by doing him “favors” on his online gaming channel.

Georges, 30, has his own gaming channel called French Berty on the Twitch platform, where users have “redemptions” and the most popular request from his followers was to do squats because he is known for his “good legs”.

A video of the reality personality squatting and exposing his bare thighs while wearing a tight-fitting leotard and dominatrix-style leather belt was soon sent to Peggy’s sister.

Georges performed the exercises during a livestream on his 30th birthday – two days before the couple got married.

After explaining this to Peggy during their honeymoon, the couple clashed and since then Georges has found it difficult to justify his actions to his wife online.

On Tuesday’s episode, married couples were tasked with listing things they liked and disliked about their spouse for Love/Hate Week.

Peggy took the opportunity to bring up Georges’ online content, admitting: “There are a few things that put me off Georges.”

She said her dislikes for him were his career goals, that he was confident but also insecure, and criticized his hobbies and passions: “The content he puts online is humiliating.” Why would you do that? It is strange.’

Georges said he found her comments “unfair” and confessed privately: “I sometimes feel like I’m not good enough for Peggy. ‘Just take me as I am.’

After talking to the other girls in the experiment, Peggy decided she needed to watch the squatting video herself.

She said, “I feel like I need to see this video with my own eyes.” If he thinks twerking on the bed or squatting is acceptable, he can do it without me.

“This video has the potential to destroy me and Georges.” “If I don’t like what I see, I’m out.”

The couple watched the clip in the apartment and Georges said: “I have nothing to hide, I know what I did. “Let’s get this over with because then we can either move on or go our separate ways.”

“Why do you have to do this? If that’s what you really want to do, you’ll do it without me. That’s not funny.’

Georges tried to defend himself by pointing out that the video wasn’t explicit, saying, “Just because you don’t think it’s funny doesn’t mean it’s not funny.”

But Peggy interrupted her and said, “I really hate that.” I find that embarrassing, humiliating, degrading. I just think I’ve had enough. I’m out of here.’

She stormed out of the apartment, adding: “I feel sick asking, ‘Who is this man?’ I just feel humiliated.”

Viewers watching at home were upset by her reaction, calling her “egregiously biased” and “upsetting” by her violent reaction. Many argued that the video was “tame” and not a big deal.

One tweeted: “I wouldn’t have thought a few weeks ago that I would feel sorry for Georges now… but here we are.” God forbid Peggy stumbles into a branch of PureGym when she hates it so much, squatting to go.

Another echoed: “First of all Peggy wasn’t in a relationship with you when he did it and second of all he doesn’t have any ‘adult’ content.”

A third added: “How is Peggy still talking about something Georges did before he even knew she existed?” He said he understands it wouldn’t be appropriate in a relationship and won’t do it again do. What else can you say? “He’s right, she’s so outrageously prejudiced.”

Someone else wrote: “It’s not my choice to watch content but I see nothing wrong with what Georges is doing,” while a fifth quipped: “It’s like Peggy was banned from 1920 and YouTube for the first time.” sees.”

A sixth person agreed, writing: “I find Peggy’s reaction really amazing.” How could someone react so badly to such a tame video? Am I missing something?’

Another chimed in: “Peggy is stealing my life, let alone George’s.” I find it incredible how this woman, who lives at home with “mum and dad” aged 32, can judge anyone who has fun and earns his living independently.”

An eighth said: “Oh my god he squatted on a livestream.” Why is she acting like he murdered someone?, while someone else added: “Peggy is driving me crazy you guys weren’t together.” He said he wouldn’t do anything that would make her uncomfortable in the future. What more does she need?

While many were angry about the interaction, other fans laughed as they pointed out the “irony” of the outfit Peggy wore as she stormed off.

Sharp-eyed viewers took to Twitter to highlight the hypocrisy of Peggy’s condemnatory comments as she wore jeans with cutouts under the bum.

One said: “It’s kind of hilarious that Peggy complains that George can see the whole world when she wears these.”

Another agreed, writing: “These will go down in history as the most ironic pair of jeans ever worn.”

A third added: “The irony of Peggy leaving Georges because he says ‘my ass is going to fall out’ in a video while she’s wearing pants and her ass is hanging out.” Tsk. Damn double standards.’

A fourth tweeted: “Did Peggy just leave the apartment with her bum cheeks threatening to fall out the back of her jeans?” Who didn’t really show off their bum after being so disapproving of Georges?

Someone else echoed: “I don’t understand why Peggy is so annoyed by George’s online content.” “Her ass is hanging out too,” with a sixth joke: “…as she walks with her ass falling out.” That’s the irony for me. “

And a seventh wrote: “Peggy says George squatting is inappropriate but walks around with holes in her jeans showing off her bum? Weird.”
