Paul Scholes has delivered a damning indictment of Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United, claiming they “collapse when something goes wrong” after they were beaten 4-3 by Bayern Munich.

Angry Manchester United fans have criticized Scott McTominay for showing a “disgusting” lack of desire to win the ball back just 10 minutes after coming on as a substitute in his side’s 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

With United trailing 3-1 and changes needed, Erik ten Hag decided to substitute McTominay in place of Christian Eriksen in the 69th minute.
