- Barcelona, PSG and Saudi club Al Hilal are all interested in signing the midfielder
- City want Silva to stay and have offered a significant pay rise in the new two-year deal
Manchester City are increasing pressure on Bernardo Silva to sign a new contract with the club and end transfer speculation surrounding the Portuguese star.
There are rumors of Silva leaving City this summer after helping the club to their historic treble last season.
However, City are keen for the 28-year-old to extend his stay at Manchester and have offered Silva a two-year deal on top of his current contract, which has two years remaining.
The new contract would increase his salary to £300,000 a week and accordingly The mirrorCity are pressing the midfielder for an answer so they can put an end to rumors surrounding his future.
Barcelona remain longtime admirers of Silva, with Joan Laporta recently stating that he would like to sign the Portuguese star. PSG have also contacted City to offer a swap deal for the player.

Pep Guardiola wants to keep Silva at City and the club have offered him a new two-year deal
There was also interest from Saudi Arabia, where Al Hilal was willing to pay Silva a £500,000-a-week contract to take him to the Middle East.
However, neither club could match the £70m price tag that Pep Guardiola imposed on the popular player.
Should Silva actually decide to leave the Premier League champions, the club are keen to provide a replacement and have already been linked with a move from Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella.
Silva has already returned to his teammates for pre-season and there have been no issues with the Portugal international. Guardiola is happy with his attitude after his return.
So far this summer, Guardiola’s men have only signed Mateo Kovacic in a £25m deal from Chelsea, although they remain hopeful of signing RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol before the deadline.

Captain Ilkay Gundogan has already left the club for Barcelona and Riyad Mahrez is on the verge of a move to Al-Ahli after City accepted a £30m offer for the winger.
With Mahrez’s exit imminent, City could replace the Algerian with Barcelona striker Raphinha.
Barca wouldn’t want the Brazilian to leave the Nou Camp but given the club’s tight financial situation, any offer from City could open the door to Raphinha’s return to the Premier League.
Elsewhere, the futures of Kyle Walker and Aymeric Laporte remain uncertain, while there still appears to be no turning back for Joao Cancelo after falling out of favor at Guardiola last season.
