Manchester City players took time out to rest and recover in the pool as they continued their pre-season in Tokyo.

Pep Guardiola’s side started their pre-season with a 5-3 win over Yokohama F. Marinos on Saturday.

But before preparing for their next game, players made the most of their surroundings and spent some time in the pool.

City stars Jack Grealish, Nathan Ake, John Stones and new signing Mateo Kovacic look relaxed and focused as they prepare for Wednesday’s game against Bayern Munich.

The quartet showed off their impressive physique on the shots as Guardiola’s men prepare to defend their Premier League title following last season’s triple exploits.

With Saturday’s win, City were able to come back from a 2-0 deficit and defeat the Japanese champions. The Stones narrowly converted from the box before Julian Alvarez equalized.

City made ten changes at half-time and it was Erling Haaland who scored two more goals alongside a Rodri striker, allowing the Premier League champions to emerge victorious in the end.

The game saw £25million new signing Kovacic play in a City shirt for the first time, while Joao Concelo made his first appearance for the club since his falling out with Guardiola in January.

Kyle Walker captained the side although his future at the club is still unclear. The England defender is the subject of interest from Bayern Munich and the two clubs are set to discuss a deal in the coming days that could see Walker sign a £13m move to the German giants.

City play Munich at 11.30am UK time at the Japan National Stadium on Wednesday before traveling to Seoul to play Atlético Madrid on Sunday.
