A man is assisting police after a body was discovered during a welfare check at a house north of Brisbane.

Police were called to the property on Torrens Road in Caboolture South on Wednesday morning and found a 41-year-old man dead inside.

The incident is being treated as a suspected murder.

Police have identified a crime scene and are currently speaking to a 23-year-old man while the investigation continues.
