Matildas gives Network Ten a very rare ratings win, while My Mum, Your Dad fails for Nine

Viewers flocked to Channel 10 to watch the Matildas on Wednesday night, giving the ratings-poor broadcaster a rare top ten spot in prime time.
The Australian soccer champions’ Olympic qualifier against Chinese Taipei was the eighth most-watched program of the evening, reaching an impressive 456,000 viewers in the Metro TV ratings.
The Amazing Race: Celebrity Edition was another strong ratings success for Ten on Wednesday.
The reality travel competition, hosted by Beau Ryan, attracted 328,000 viewers in metropolitan areas.
The news wasn’t so good for Channel Nine as the second series of dating show My Mum, Your Dad continued to lose viewership.

Over on Seven, the SAS Australia finale failed to crack the top ten biggest shows overnight
Based on a successful American format, the reality series hosted by KIIS FM’s Kate Langbroek, the show only managed to attract 279,000 fans in major cinemas.
Tuesday’s season premiere now drew 290,000 fans in the Metro ratings, down 26 percent from the series’ first episode in 2022, it said On TV tonight.
Love Island Australia also performed poorly.
The dating show “Nine” attracted just 95,000 fans in major centers on Wednesday.
Over on Network Seven, the SAS Australia finale failed to crack the top ten biggest shows overnight.
Still, the real-life survival/adventure series garnered a solid Metro rating of 351,000 fans.
Home and Away, also on Seven, was a disappointment for the channel on Wednesday.

The popular soap attracted 398,000 fans in capital cities, a weak performance in a strong year for the long-running hit.
Seven won the evening overall with 26 percent of viewers.
And in a rare result, Channel 10 and Nine finished in the same place with a share of 24.1 per cent.
The ABC ended the evening in fourth place with 18.2 percent of viewers.
