Matt Barnes claims he saved Skip Bayless from an NBA player and coach who “wanted to rip him off”.

Skip Bayless made a living by mouth – but former NBA player Matt Barnes said it was those very words that made some people want to physically attack the pundit.
Former small forward filmed a video from his car Talking about Bayless and his words immediately after Bill’s safety Damar Hamlin who is in cardiac arrest.
Bayless faced backlash over his tweet, which appeared to question why the NFL had postponed the game following Hamlin’s first-quarter collapse.

FOX’s Skip Bayless said he would not delete a tweet about Damar Hamlin’s injury
“No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game — but how?” Bayless tweeted on Monday. “So late in the season, a game of this magnitude is critical to the regular season outcome…which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”
Bayless went on his show “Undisputed” the next day without his co-host — NFL Hall-of-Famer Shannon Sharpe. When Sharpe returned on Wednesday, the show began with a heated exchange between the two.
That prompted Barnes to respond, claiming Bayless’ tweet was “obviously disrespectful,” before mentioning he had to stop two situations involving physical violence toward Bayless.
“I didn’t actually speak to Skip Bayless about this situation because I wanted to see if he had any remorse after what he said Monday,” Barnes said in the video. “First of all, Skip is a professional in this field – he was well respected and put in years of work.
“So you know when people say, ‘Read the whole tweet, he said the game is irrelevant’: he knew he had to put that at the end of the cops he said hoping that we.” the cops didn’t see through **t. Because how he really felt was his original first sentence.’
Barnes continued, saying: “Spread that, I just feel like he’s been very, very, very disrespectful and out of pocket lately and that’s normal. But he was so to Shannon, and you can see Shannon biting his tongue, you can see him taking a deep breath, because he didn’t jump over the table and wring that man’s neck.

Matt Barnes says he “personally” had to stop two different people from fighting Bayless
“But I think Skip’s day is coming. and it may not be from a shooting standpoint, because we know that white men in this profession can get away with it and do anything… you know what they want. And it makes good TV, you know controversy sells. Of course, FOX wants to keep these types of ratings.
“But I personally know that I had to resolve two situations, one with a coach and one with an NBA player. They wanted to screw Skip. I personally had to do it. One was this year, one was last year.
“Personally, I had to turn to Uncle [Sharpe] and start a conversation for people trying to prank Skip. Luckily cooler heads prevailed, but in my opinion it just went too far.
“And again, Shannon had a lot of love – or has a lot of love for the guy – but you can see Shannon’s fed up and someone’s going to end up hurting Skip because his ego, his arrogance, his disrespect was kind of always there.” . But now… I think it’s taken to a new level and now he doesn’t respect his co-host.

Sharpe (L) and Bayless engaged in a fiery exchange when the former returned to the Weds show.
On Wednesday, the two hosts returned to the table and Sharpe began addressing his absence from Tuesday’s show. That led to this exchange:
Just weeks ago, Bayless and Sharpe lashed out when Bayless appeared to disregard his co-host’s NFL career, saying Tom Brady was “a lot better” than Sharpe.
“You make it look like I’m a bum! I’m in the Effin’ Hall of Fame. I’ve got three Super Bowls!” Sharpe replied angrily.
“Are you ready to attack me personally for saying he’s better than me for saying he’s playing poorly this year?”
Bayless responded by accusing Sharpe of disrespecting Brady, which is beneath his co-host’s “dignity.”

Sharpe and Bayless got into a heated argument a few weeks ago over an alleged slight
Other media peers chime in on the co-hosts’ chemistry — with former ESPN and FOX Sports host Marcellus Wiley offering his thoughts the other day.
“You hate to see it. Skip and Shannon break up every day on live TV. If your partner can’t get through their monologue, it’s all bad,” Wiley said in a post on Instagram.
‘Reminds me of a ‘Wileyism’ that in any relationship that ends, you spend half the time breaking up. And what we’re witnessing right now on live TV is them breaking up.
“You can tell outside of the building, outside of the show, they don’t even speak. Do you want to know how I know? We’ve all seen it. Felt like an ambush to Skip. “Well, we shouldn’t be talking about it. I didn’t see that in the notes. We didn’t discuss that. You don’t know what the bosses said.”
“Man, stop playing with me. This isn’t about a tweet. It’s not about Brady being better than Shannon. It’s not about none of this. None of them arguments. Do you know what that is? This is original. Yes.
“These are two alphas fighting for territory. This is about power. Because that dynamic of power on this show has shifted, real or imagined, and right now we’re all seeing that struggle over it. Let’s see who “Undisputed” comes out with.”
