Matt Turner hints the AFC Richmond manager could make an appearance at the All-Star game against Arsenal in July

“Ted Lasso? I’ll see what I can do!’: Matt Turner hints that the AFC Richmond manager could appear at July’s All-Star game against Arsenal in a hilarious video in which he greets team-mates from MLS, DC United and ‘ Thor’ Walker Zimmerman tells!
MLS has officially announced Arsenal as this summer’s All-Star Game opponents and the likes of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard may not be the only stars in attendance at Audi Field.
In a promotional video released on Tuesday, Arsenal (and former New England Revolution) goalkeeper Matt Turner guides Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nketiah through the league as “MLS Education Director” ahead of the July 19 game at DC United’s Audi Field.
And while most of the video is light-hearted fun, Turner seems to be teasing some news towards the end of the clip.
When asked by Martinelli if Ted Lasso will be in the All-Star Game, Turner hints that Lasso – played by Jason Sudeikis – will be making an appearance in DC.

Based in London, the fictional team is the subject of the Emmy-winning Apple TV+ series
“I know a few people. I’ll see what I can do,’ he said.
Of course, Turner’s joke might actually come to fruition, since both MLS TV shows and Ted Lasso were produced by Apple.
During the remainder of the roughly two-minute clip, Turner lectures his teammates about MLS tifos and DC United history, and Martinelli comments that likely All-Star Walker Zimmerman looks like Thor.
“I would like to see him compete against the great Gabi [Magalhaes]’ says Nketiah.
With the game being played at DC United’s Audi Field, the club’s manager Wayne Rooney will face his old rival.

Nashville SC and USMNT defenseman Walker Zimmerman starred in the promotional clip
“I had a front row seat to watching the growth and development of Major League Soccer, first as a player and now as a manager,” Rooney said in a press release.
“The opportunity to lead the best our league has to offer against a top Premier League club like Arsenal will be a personal highlight for me and an unforgettable experience for our passionate fanbase here in DC.”
Meanwhile, Sudeikis and other members of the Ted Lasso cast were also in the news Monday as they visited the White House to promote the discussion of mental health.
The first episode of the series’ third season premiered last week.
