Matthew Perry enjoyed a meal with a mystery woman just a day before he was tragically found dead in his hot tub.

The 54-year-old “Friends” star was in good spirits when he met the brunette at the Hotel Bel-Air in California on October 27.

Other guests said the duo sat for over an hour and a half, with the actor barely touching his food as he engaged his glamorous guest before they left together, it is said TMZ.

The afternoon meal came just a day before Perry was found in his hot tub by his assistant, sparking a wave of tributes from around the world for the beloved actor.

Perry dated a number of high-profile women throughout his illustrious career, including Lizzy Caplan and Gwyneth Paltrow.

But after his engagement to literary manager Molly Hurwitz ended in 2021, he longed for a wife and a family, according to DailyMail.com.

Insiders close to Perry said he longed for a meaningful relationship and stepchildren thanks to his closeness with his own stepfather, Keith Morrison.

“Matthew has always dreamed of having the perfect family,” a source close to the star told DailyMail.com. “He wanted a wife and at least a few children.” And he said he wouldn’t even mind marrying a woman who already had children.’

“Lately the star has been looking for love again.” But after a series of failed relationships, he felt sad and depressed and as if he would never find the love he longed for.

“Matthew dated dozens of women. But in the end, he always felt like they were only interested in his money and fame. And he was extremely generous.

“He showered women with gifts just to get them to pack up their goodies and walk away.”

“Ultimately, I believe his years of battling demons… drugs and alcohol… took a toll on him and his health, and he would end up alone again.”

The investigation into Perry’s death is ongoing, but officials said there is no evidence that foul play was a factor.

He is believed to have drowned, but an official cause of death has not been announced.

First responders on the scene revealed that when Perry was found by his assistant, he was found underwater before they lifted his head in a desperate attempt to give him some air.

When the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at his Pacific Palisades home, the actor was later found to be dead.

This came after a 15-second 911 call came in that revealed the moment his assistant called 911 to report a possible cardiac arrest.

Perry has been open about his past struggles with alcohol and drug abuse, but has said in recent interviews that he is clean and sober.

Perry wrote in his memoirs published last year that he spent $9 million trying to get sober, revealing that he attended 6,000 AA meetings, went to rehab 15 times and detoxed 65 times have.

First responders are said to have found antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications on the property – but there were no signs of illegal drugs.

Family friends had also reported that he seemed “tired” in the days before his death.

The 54-year-old posted a haunting picture of himself enjoying a swim in his pool on Instagram in his final days.
