The 29-year-old TV personality shared an adorable snap of her video chatting with her grandmother.
She flashed her pearly white smile as she grinned cheek-to-cheek in a white t-shirt.
Her grandmother, or as Maya calls her “Ayeyo” (Somali for Nan), grinned playfully at her wild comments to the star.
The snap was captioned: “Love my nan/Ayeyo.” Healthiest but no filter. She told me I needed to eat more and I looked like an old lady and was absolutely serious.”

Maya rarely keeps her fans updated about her grandma, as she only revealed to her followers in 2021 that her grandmother immigrated from Somalia.
At the end, when Maya shares a black and white family photo with her grandma, she reveals that she believes her family may have been the first Somali immigrants in Bristol.
She wrote alongside the throwback snap: “I had to turn this up. ‘Looks just like my grandma.’
In addition to the picture, she also shared an excerpt from her immigration story from Somalia.
Maya wrote: “Real G’s immigrated from Somalia and built a life, started working, started a family and bought a house.”
“I’m pretty sure they were one of the first Somali families in Bristol.”
The snap comes after her rekindled lover Stormzy revealed he is ready to propose to Maya.
