Harry and Meghan’s “paper-free” “Christmas card” features a glittery black-and-white photo from the night they received an award for fighting “structural racism” in the royal family, but contains no mention of Christmas.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared their annual celebratory message, wishing everyone “health, peace and a very happy New Year”.
The digital e-card is being signed off with their royal titles – despite calls in recent days to strip their identities from the couple following their bombshell Netflix documentary.
But it omits any mention of “Christmas” and instead wishes everyone “Happy Holidays.”

The card reads: ‘I wish you a Merry Christmas.
“From our family to yours, and on behalf of our teams at The Archewell Foundation, Archewell Audio and Archewell Productions, we wish you health, peace and a Happy New Year.”
The GIF, which features shimmering white dots, was shared on Twitter by royal author Omid Scobie, who dubbed it her “paper-free 2022 Christmas card.”
It includes a photo showing Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, on December 7, as they were honored with the Ripple of Hope award for their stance against racism.
At the awards ceremony in New York, they vowed their war on “oppression” had only just begun when they received the award from the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization (RFKHR).
Meghan also spoke about her struggle with suicidal thoughts as a royal, telling the audience that she “didn’t want to be alive anymore” and revealing that the decision not to end her life was “not easy”, in remarks shared during Remarks made at the time reflected her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The pair have been recognized alongside figures such as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to RFKHR, honorees are those who have “shown an unwavering commitment to social change and a commitment to protecting and promoting justice, justice and human rights.”
Ms. Kennedy, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy, said the Sussexes were “incredibly brave” in tackling the issues of racial justice and mental illness.
The release of Harry and Meghan’s ‘Holiday Season’ GIF comes just days after the Prince and Princess of Wales released their own Christmas card, featuring a picture of Kate and William holding hands with their three children at the grounds of walk the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
Charles also released his first Christmas card as monarch this week, using a photograph of himself and the Queen Consort at a Highland Gathering just days before the Queen’s death.

Meanwhile, tensions are rising within the royal family after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the second “volume” of their show on Thursday.
In this week’s installment of the docu-series, Harry and Meghan accused Prince William of shouting and King Charles of lying when they refused to bless the couple’s request for a “half-half” Megxit, which would allow them to pick one Earning fortunes and choosing royal duties and keeping all their titles.
The Duke of Sussex claimed his older brother, now heir to the throne, scared him in January 2020 when he “yelled and yelled” at him in front of his father and grandmother as he tried to negotiate a deal to leave Britain.
Harry also accused Charles of lying to his face and Her Majesty of not saying anything at the now infamous “Sandringham Summit” and opened up about the “heartbreaking” rift with his brother.

Harry then claimed the palace did not seek his permission to issue a joint statement dismissing claims that William had “bullied” the Sussexes from the royal family. Viewers said that Harry implied that William did.
He said: “I couldn’t believe it. No one had asked my permission to put my name under such a statement… [Meghan] burst into tears because they happily lied within four hours to protect my brother…yet they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.’
