Meghan Markle’s former Suits co-star Patrick J. Adams is changing his Instagram profile to include his connection to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Meghan Markle’s former Suits co-star Patrick J. Adams has changed his Instagram bio to refer to the royal.

The Toronto-born 42-year-old actor – who played Meghan’s on-screen husband in the legal drama from 2011 to 2019 – described himself as: “The guy on the show you see on this app because that girl married that prince .”

Suits tells the story of Mike Ross (played by Adams), a brave law student who drops out of law school to become a respected law firm and falls in love with the beautiful paralegal Rachel Zane (played by Markle).

Although the show ended in 2019, it has seen an increase in viewership across screening platforms in recent months.

After launching on Netflix earlier this year, the series set a viewing time record for a purchased series for the week of June 26-July 2 with 3.14 billion minutes.

Following her exit from the show, Meghan remained friends with some of her former co-stars who attended her wedding to Prince Harry, including Gabriel Macht, Abigail Spencer, Sarah Rafferty and Patrick.

Meghan reportedly loved playing her stylish lawyer alter ego and felt like “a kid in a candy store” when it came to choosing her outfits.

Famed costume designer Jolie Andreatta previously explained, “Meghan and I loved Rachel’s clothes.” We always said that if we could, we’d live in Rachel’s clothes. “Designing Rachel’s look was like a kid in a candy store.”

When she retired from acting to join the royal family, Meghan insisted that she would commit to changing the world with her humanitarian work rather than contemplating the end of her career.

Patrick, who has defended Meghan on several occasions, lamented last year that he was “pulled” into debates surrounding his former co-star.

“Hello to the folks and many bots discussing all things Markle and including me in the conversation.” I just want you to know a few things. 1. I don’t read any of this. 2. Life is short. 3. There must be better things for you to do. Even you, bots,” he wrote.

Patrick has also previously described the monarchy as “toxic, archaic and shameless.”

He said his “powerful” and “friendly” friend was the subject of underhanded behavior on the part of the monarchy after reports emerged that Meghan had “harassed” several former Kensington Palace staff, which she has firmly denied.

“I can not remember. “It could have been the director at the time or her agent,” he said when asked who told him she couldn’t say “Poppycock.” Meghan can be seen on the show

After her 2022 interview with Oprah Winfrey, he said, “She fell in love, moved to a new country, became a household name around the world and began the difficult work of finding her place in a family dynamic that can do that. “It’s best described as complicated and at worst seemingly archaic and toxic,” he wrote in the eight-tweet rant.

At the time, Buckingham Palace hired “an outside law firm” to investigate allegations that Meghan bullied royal staff.

Recently, the creator of the legal drama sensationally claimed the royal family insisted on dropping the word “Poppycock” from her script over fears clips would be edited to make it sound like there was something rude about the Duchess of Sussex said.

Aaron Korsh, 56, spoke along The Hollywood Reporter on how things changed on set after Meghan started dating Prince Harry – and the bizarre demands he says the monarchy made on her text.

His claims echo those of Harry, who claimed in his explosive memoir Spare that the Suits writers are growing “frustrated” with the Palace Communications team “advising” on changes to Meghan’s lines.

According to showrunner Korsh, the royal family has “commented on a number of things” — including what the Duchess of Sussex’s character said in episodes filmed after she and Harry met — which he found “a little unnerving.”

He said there was one particular word he put in the script as a tribute to his own in-laws – “poppycock,” which is colloquial for nonsense – but claimed he was forced to change it after the royals allegedly vetoed it because it contained the term “c**k”.
