Mohamed Salah’s agent denies reports he is considering leaving Liverpool

Mohamed Salah’s agent denies the striker is considering LEAVE Liverpool due to his disappointing season after the Egyptian star was reportedly ‘interested in joining LaLiga’ less than a year after signing a new deal at Anfield until 2025 .

  • Liverpool have had a dismal season and could miss out on the top 4
  • It has been reported that Mohamed Salah is considering a move to a LaLiga club
  • Salah’s agent has claimed he has not spoken to Salah about leaving Liverpool

Mohamed Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa has hit back at reports the forward is considering leaving Liverpool this summer.

Salah penned a new contract at Anfield last summer that is set to run until 2025 but the Reds are struggling this season and face an uphill battle for the top four.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were kicked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid on Wednesday and will end the season without a trophy.

Accordingly foot MercatoWorried about Liverpool’s alarming slump in recent months, Salah is keen to go elsewhere.

However, Abbas Issa has denied this and tweeted: “Where did you get that if even Mohamed and I didn’t talk about it?” Please tell us.’

The Foot Mercato report claims Salah’s preferred destination is Spain, having spent the last six years in England.

This seems to put Barcelona and Real Madrid at the front of the queue to sign him.

Still, Barcelona currently have Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele to cover the right wing and it might not be a priority position they should strengthen in the next transfer window.

Meanwhile, Ernesto Valverde – who can also play in central midfield – and Rodrygo have played mostly on the right flank for Madrid this season.

The uncertainty surrounding Salah’s future could worry Liverpool fans after losing Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich last summer, while Roberto Firmino has already confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season.

Salah’s departure would mean the famous front three would all have moved on within 12 months, ushering in a new era on the Merseyside red side.

After his £39m move from Roma in 2017, Salah was a huge success at Anfield, recently overtaking Robbie Fowler as Liverpool’s top scorer in the Premier League era.

He has won the Premier League Golden Boot three times and his overall record at Liverpool is notable as he has scored 178 goals in 293 games for the club.
